Buffalo Butte Ranch is a 6,000 acre privately owned and operated farm which has been in our family for four generations. This is something we take great pride in considering today's climate of mergers, corporate farming and 2nd party investors.

Rates

Rates: $800 per day per hunter *All Inclusive

All Inclusive: Your Prairie Dog Hunt is all inclusive. 4 night 3 day stay in our main lodge and/or chalet, on-site transportation, all meals, dinner wines, all beverages, and daily maid service. Trap and target range will be available for your use.

Benches: Bring your own rifle benches or use ours.

Long Shot: 1,644 yards is the confirmed Buffalo Butte Ranch record in 2017.

Additional: Prairie Dog Hunters must provide their own transportation to lodge, guns, ammunition, and license.

Lodging

The Buffalo Butte Lodge was built in 2003, over 4,000 square ft., and with a 32 X 40 great room on the upper level and a walk-out basement that boasts its own game room. The open front of the great room offers a fantastic view of the Dakota prairie. For smaller party hunts, we offer Chalets that are built next door to the main lodge. The Chalets are built with the husband/wife, father/son or daughter hunt in mind. It's also the perfect setting for that one on one business hunt.
